Modern Ranch
Project Overview
Modern Ranch, located on 40 acres of wooded land and prairie grasses, is the perfect blend of rustic ranch and modern design. A combination of rough wood textures and clean box beams complements the stone fireplace in the great room. The hearth room fireplace is more modern with acid-washed metal panels and a sleek mantel crafted from trees cleared from their property prior to construction.
Just like you can’t judge a book by the cover, you can’t always judge the quality of a home by the level of finish. Poor soil conditions on the site required Nor-Son Custom Builders to adjust the placement of the home to higher topography and then secure the foundation with anchors that run deep into the ground. The result gave the homeowners the comfort that their home will be secure, and tremendous views of the prairie and improved views to the neighboring horse barn.
